Caring for you Stainless Steel Jewelry

Stainless steel is one of the most versatile metals used in making jewelry today. This metal is hypoallergenic, non-reactive to the skin, rust-free and tarnish-free.

  • Although steel jewelry do not typically rust it can become dull caused by small scratches and pollution. Therefore a thorough cleaning is needed once exposed to excessive dirt, grease, or harsh chemicals like chlorine bleach.

HOW TO CARE FOR YOUR JEWELRY

    • Remove stainless steel jewelry before working with harsh chemicals.
    • Protect your jewelry from direct contact with hairspray, perfumes, and other cosmetics which contain alcohol or other ingredients that can erode the finish. (Rule of thumb: jewelry should be the first thing you take off and the last thing you put on).
    • Store stainless steel jewelry in a closed jewelry box or soft bag to protect form dust and prevent scratches from other metals.
    • Do not use harsh abrasive cleaners when cleaning stainless steel jewelry.
